Introduction

At our San Francisco Facility we accomplish restoration/replication of existing metal products, produce fine custom builders hardware, and produce a wide variety of custom metal products.  Our skilled craftsmen accomplish design, pattern making, lost wax casting, machining, polishing and finishing to reproduce the fine detail distinguishing our products.

RESTORATION/REPLICATION

Restoration/Replication is our passion.  Being afforded the honor of working on some of our nations most spectacular and historic building has been the backbone of our continued business.  From San Francisco City Hall to Martha's Vineyard and from Texas State Capital to Michigan State Capital we have worked to maintain the "soul" of many public buildings and are very proud to have done it.  Some sample photos are available by clicking the Restoration button at left.

DOOR HARDWARE

Our line of Custom Builders Hardware consists of suites which are based on designs by American designers and in production in the late 1800's.  We carry most of the hardware items (Door trim, hinges, drawer pulls, cabinet hardware, etc.) required to fill the complete house with matching hardware.

COLUMBIA suite, patented in 1882 by the Reading hardware Company.  a very decorative design typifying the Victorian taste for ornate detailing of shellwork and foliage.

LILY suite, patent attributed to the Sargent Lock Company, circa 1875.  Though Victorian in heritage, this design is timeless and popular with architects for contemporary installations.

BROCADE suite, patented on April 11, 1882 by the P. & F. Corbin Company.  This Victorian design typifies the era's popular floral motif.  Though over 100 years old this design is very comfortable in both modern and traditional settings.

EKADO suite, patented in 1885 by the Sargent Lock Company.  This Victorian design is very intricate in detailing and was influenced by the popular Asian designs of this era.  It is visually striking and especially popular with architects for contemporary installations.

Hardware is available in bronze, brass and special ductile iron.  High Polish and Satin finishes with nickel, chrome, gold or several other colors are routinely produce by us.  Please click the Door Hardware button at left to see examples.

CUSTOM METAL WORK

Custom metal work "keeps the juices flowing".  Our pursuit of restoration has brought us an understanding of the process, skills and methods used by the craftsman of the 19th century.  We utilize this knowledge help bring your custom needs to reality.  Some examples are at the CUSTOM button at left.
